History[]

Martin Luther King Jr. was an African-American civil rights activist. He was also a pacifist and follower of the Christian religion. In 1963, he lead the March on Washington and gave his "I Have a Dream" speech, in which he talks about ending racism. In 1968, he planned on gaining equal rights for poor people with the use of the Poor People's Campaign, but before he could even make the effort, he was assassinated.
